Stab! Slash! Parry! Thrust! Blades clash every Wednesday after school in the lunchroom at Lassiter’s Fencing Club. Swordsmanship is an ancient art, with modern fencing styles dating back to duels of honor in medieval Europe. At Fencing Club they train in this hair-raising sport, starting each practice with some light conditioning and then sparring. All this training helps prepare members for biweekly tournaments where they compete against other schools from around the Atlanta area.

Coming up on October 29th is a tournament at Johns Creek Public High school. The fencing club invites you to stop by the school at 10:00 AM if you would like to stop by and show your support. Alternatively, if you’d like to try your hand at swinging a blade, or just see what all the fuss is about, stop by the Fencing Club this Wednesday to learn more!
