Trojans, make your voice heard in this year’s election! If you are 18 years old at any point before or on Election Day (November 1), you can go to your local polling station and choose your candidates. Many positions are on the ballot this year, including the House of Representatives, the Senate and the Governor. I talked to AP Government teacher Ms. Etter about the importance of voting, who said “If we don’t make our voices heard, we aren’t truly in a self-representative democracy”. If you need help registering to vote or are unsure of your voter status, or if you need help finding where to vote, go to the Secretary of State’s page (go to https://sos.ga.gov/) and check all of those things. The election is on November 1st, but early voting is available now to students who are already 18 years old.
